Les Halpin (1968) was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2011 and began campaigning for a change in the law to allow experimental drugs to be used more widely in attempts to treat diseases like MND where there is no effective medicine available.
Les was interviewed on the Today programme on Radio 4 on 15th February 2013.
More national press coverage of his campaign is in the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail.
We published a news item in Old Buckwellians News about Les in May 2012 after he was awarded an honorary degree by Exeter University. Click HERE to read the article.
For more about Les's campaign visit the Access to Medicine web site.
Sadly, Les lost his battle against the disease on 14th September 2013.
