Anniversary - A very special event

In September 2013 we shall be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the opening of BHCHS. To mark the occasion, our Annual Dinner will be an extra special event, including an exhibition based on the school’s history.

The date to note for this auspicious occasion: Friday 13th September 2013.

The superstitious among you will need to hold your collars or something like that but this is the Friday closest to the actual opening of the school.

It will be a unique opportunity to dip into the history of the school, so why not plan to meet some old friends and catch up over coffee and cake during the afternoon.

The event will take place at the Theydon Bois Village Hall. Many of you will know that this is an excellent modern and spacious hall, with very adequate rooms both for our Dinner and the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public, and run during the afternoon (starting at 2pm), but the Dinner will be strictly ticket only, and we have now sold all tickets. We can accept a limited number on a waiting list in case any tickets become available between now and the event.

For those who were disappointed at not obtaining one of the Dinner Tickets, there is another option which may be of particular interest to groups who may want to organise their own evening meal locally and then join the BHCHS 75 celebrations afterwards. We have a limited number of “Promenade” tickets available. These allow access to the main hall after about 9.30pm (or when the dinner has been cleared) so that holders will be able to mingle with other guests and hear the speeches. There is no charge for these tickets and they also give access to using the bar during the evening. However, the venue requires numbers must be strictly controlled so if you are thinking of joining us you MUST obtain your ticket in advance.
