Inspired by the great feature written by Gordon Lacey, and thanks to some excellent organising by him and Phil Ricketts, a highly successful reunion was held on 10th April attended by 11 members of the "13+" entrants who started at BHCHS in 1959.
Guest of honour was John Whaler who was the form master of this group for several years. John's legendary patience and understanding was fundamental in helping the class through the rather complicated integration process.
The group was delighted to welcome John and convey their appreciation of everything he had done for them half a century earlier. It was also wonderful that several of the group had travelled a long way to be at the gathering at the Prince Regent Hotel, Woodford. Terry Ingles made the trip from Northern Ireland and Peter Phillips from Canada.
